FruitVegetablesEUROPE’s permanent secretariat, based in Brussels, maintains close contacts with European and international institutions and is a major partner in consultations on all issues affecting the EU’s fruit and vegetables sector.
The Secretariat works hand in hand with its members, who are very active and always willing to engage in activities related to the sector, actively participating in meetings and providing information and feedback on diverse issues.
Alba directs the daily management of the Association, provides a key leadership role in the development and implementation of FruitVegetablesEUROPE’s policy, mission and activities.
She facilitates, coordinates and supports the work of FruitVegetablesEUROPE's various institutions (Board of Directors, General Assembly, Committees, Working Groups and other bodies), while building and maintaining strong relationships with the Association's members, EU institutions and international organisations.
She also coordinates all promotion and R&D projects to FruitVegetablesEUROPE.
EU Affairs & European Parliament
Carmelo is working on a range of sector-specific issues, particularly on regulatory and policy issues in the areas of Agriculture and Trade.
His responsibilities include: trade policy analysis - bilateral & multilateral trade negotiations and agreements, market access issues – tariff and non-tariff barriers, analysis of trade data and food prices.
He provides technical support to the work of FruitVegetablesEUROPE secretariat.
He also deals with relevant promotion and R&D projects to FruitVegetablesEUROPE.

Agriculture and EU Projects
Maria is working on Agricultural and EU affairs issues. She is closely monitoring and analysing European and international developments in the EU fruit and vegetables sector.
Her responsibilities include: The CAP, EU Promotion and Quality policies. As well as SPS realted issues.
She provides technical support to the work of FruitVegetablesEUROPE secretariat.
She also deals with relevant promotion and R&D projects to FruitVegetablesEUROPE.
